Pilot Logbook Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
Pilot Logbook is a flight logbook app for iPhone and iPad, published by Ian Morris. This policy explains what information the app handles.
We don't collect your data
The developer does not collect, receive or see any of your information. The app has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
Information the app keeps for you
The app stores what you enter: your flights (dates, aircraft, airports, times, crew names and remarks), your name, licence number and signature, qualifications and their expiry dates, and any photos or scanned documents you attach.
Where it is stored
- On your device. Your logbook is kept on your iPhone or iPad so the app works offline.
- In your own iCloud. If you're signed in to iCloud, your logbook and backups are kept in your private iCloud storage so they reach your other devices. Only you can see them; the developer has no access.
- Signature. Your signature stays on the device it was drawn on.
Apple services the app uses
- Maps and time zones. To draw the map and work out an airport's local time, airport coordinates are sent to Apple Maps. No personal information is included.
- Camera and photos. Only when you choose to scan or attach a document. Images are stored with your logbook as described above.
- Subscriptions. Purchases are handled by Apple. The developer receives no payment or personal details from Apple.
Deleting information
You can delete any flight, or all flights, in the app; this removes them from the device and from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes what is on the device. Backups in iCloud Drive can be deleted in the Files app.
Children
The app is intended for pilots and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
